Join the Eybler Quartet in a concert of Asplmayr, Vanhal and the newly discovered work of the 19th century Peruvian composer Pedro Ximenes Abril Tirado. Works include Vanhal Quartet in B flat, Op. 6 no. 6, Asplmayr Quartet in C major Op. 2 no. 5 and Tirado’s Cuarteto Op. 55. Doors open at 6:00 music begins at 6:15. As a special treat, Karin Cuellar, a doctoral candidate at McGill who researches the performance practice of the music of Pedro Ximenes Abril Tirado in its political, cultural and historical contexts, will join us to offer her unique insights into his music.
